Squirrels

Predominantly grey in colour, with reddish/brown tinge to the face and body. Grey squirrels are bold and will often be seen a distance from trees on open ground. Squirrels, like other rodents, have four front teeth that grow continuously so they don’t wear down from the constant gnawing. Squirrels cause more house fires due to gnawing than all the other rodents put together. Grey squirrels are classed as vermin and it is illegal to release a live trapped grey squirrel.

The first thing you will notice if you have squirrels is noise. They will make a large racket of noise. When you inspect the area where the noise is coming from and this will most likely be from the loft or attic area, there will be signs of teeth marks or small twigs. Squirrels will enter for a place to make a home and shelter, the male will have several places (DRAYS) with his territory, some in buildings and some in trees, we can treat both problems.

Our treatment is based that on our first visit we would survey the area and advise the best route of action for the removal of the squirrel and also the area to stay squirrel free. This would most likely be trapping and then sealing the infested area.

Moles

Moles are small mammals found all over the world, except in Antarctica and South America. They are subterranean mammals, spending most of their time underground. They build intricate tunnel systems, with molehills being the waste of their tunnelling exploits. Gardeners, landowners, ground staff and farmers consider them a pest. Mole hills are not a great sight on a nice grass area, weather this is happening to your manicured lawn at home or at public areas, golf courses and other areas.

This is very simple, its presence is well marked by the appearance of mole hills, the common British mammal is not seen a lot, due to it having a subterranean life.

We believe in trapping the mole in specific sized areas. A number of traps would be lain in the tunnels that the mole has created.
